About Sara Cimmers

Born and raised along the Wasatch Front, Sara Cimmers boasts deep Utah roots. Her journey is as diverse as the communities she proudly calls home. As the spouse of an Air Force veteran and a devoted parent and step-parent to six uniquely individual children, Sara's life has been enriched by a wealth of experiences.

For over 15 years, Sara dedicated herself to the field of education, serving as both a special education teacher and administrator. Her professional journey traversed public, private, and charter school settings, where she honed her skills and deepened her commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Currently, Sara lends her expertise as a Realtor, specializing in assisting first-time homebuyers in establishing the foundation for their personal wealth.

These diverse roles have profoundly shaped Sara's values of service and kindness. Through her lens as a mother, educator, and community member, she recognizes the importance of a strong work ethic and prioritizes justice and kindness in all facets of life.

Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Special Education, Sara spent 15 years working with students facing physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Despite her passion for this vulnerable segment of the community, frustration over educational decisions made by lawmakers instead of educators led her to transition from the field.

While the path to political office wasn't always on Sara's radar, she embraces the opportunity with gratitude and a genuine commitment to serve the public. Sara envisions a Utah characterized by compassion, sincerity, and justice—values she believes are currently underrepresented in the state government. Driven by a purpose of kindness and inclusion, Sara Cimmers is dedicated to bridging the gap between the people and the government, ensuring that the voices of her friends, colleagues, and neighbors are heard and valued.
